baby it's you (1983)
written and directed by john sayles
It’s Trenton, New Jersey, 1966, and good Jewish girl Jill Rosen (Rosanna Arquette) finds herself stalked but definitely attracted to bad boy and Sinatra-wannabe “Sheik’ Capadilupo (Vincent Spano) in this funny and poignant tale of growing up (or not) battling the class and cultural pressures of our most challenging decade. Spot Fisher Stevens, Matthew Modine and Robert Downey Jr. in their earliest cinema incarnations and let the soundtrack of classic rock and roll (including some of the first Springsteen heard on film) take you back and pump you up. Arquette’s performance is a revelation.
